The LinkedIn discussion was as follows:
I have a lot of time for recruitment and service agencies. Though for mature workers it's all too easy for CVs and updates to be received with courtesy only to be swallowed up with little or no impact.
During my time as an interim manager, I find that getting into the recruitment process much closer to the client is effective and keeping networking active and effective helps somewhat. As does persistence and keeping your attitude positive, because it's a long game that should not be judged by individual setbacks.
As a mature worker, have you noticed that anything has changed in your relationship with recruitment agencies? And have you identified any effective strategies that work for you?
I'll curate any good learning tips here. Please feel free to continue to discuss.
